The episode is titled “The Arrival of Ghorkamini,” focusing on the shift from Shaoli’s petty manipulations to a much darker, ancient threat that targets Noyon’s very soul.
The Sinister Guest
The episode begins with the grand entrance of Ghorkamini (played by Sudha Chandran) at Parimahal. Unlike Shaoli, who relies on ghosts and lies, Ghorkamini carries an aura of dark authority. She claims to be an old acquaintance of the Sengupta family, but her eyes are fixed on Noyon. She senses Noyon’s gift for communicating with spirits and views her as the primary obstacle to her mission of bringing forth “Ghor Kali”—a state of ultimate chaos.
Surjo’s Skepticism Tested
Surjo, ever the man of medicine, is immediately suspicious of Ghorkamini’s “rituals.” However, he is placed in a difficult position when Choti Maa (Lata) welcomes Ghorkamini with open arms, believing her presence will cleanse the house of the “evil spirits” that have been haunting them. Surjo tries to protect Noyon from Ghorkamini’s intense interrogation, but Ghorkamini cleverly manipulates Surjo’s own guilt about his past to silence his objections.
The Possession Trap
Shaoli, now desperate and sidelined by Ghorkamini’s power, attempts to strike a deal with the new villain. Ghorkamini promises to help Shaoli “stay” in the human world permanently if she helps trap Noyon in the Mirror Room of the haveli. As Noyon enters the room to offer prayers, she finds herself surrounded by distorted reflections. Ghorkamini begins a powerful chant that drains Noyon of her spiritual energy, leaving her vulnerable to the malicious spirits that Ghorkamini has summoned.
Hasiram’s Intervention
Just as Noyon is about to lose consciousness, her unlikely ally, the child ghost Hasiram, intervenes. He creates a burst of light that breaks the mirror’s enchantment, allowing Noyon to escape. However, the victory is short-lived. The episode ends with Ghorkamini looking directly at Hasiram—something no living human besides Noyon should be able to do—and smiling wickedly, saying, “A small spark cannot stop the coming darkness, little ghost.”
