Mihir Jr. is confronted by the auditors. They have discovered that the “Smart City” project was funded by diverting money from the family’s charitable trust. Mihir realizes his cousin, Eklavya, framed him by forging his digital signatures. When Mihir tries to explain this to the board, Eklavya plays a manipulated audio clip that makes Mihir look like the mastermind. The board gives Mihir 24 hours to resign or face arrest.
The Kitchen Cabinet
In a classic throwback to the original series, the “Bahu-Brigade” gathers in the kitchen. They realize that the men of the house are being manipulated by outside forces. Savita and Nandini decide to conduct their own investigation. They find a hidden ledger in the library that tracks Eklavya’s secret meetings with the family’s business rivals. The episode ends during the evening Aarti. Usually a symbol of family unity, today the family stands divided. On one side stands Tulsi with Mihir; on the other stands Ananya with Eklavya.
